At the annual PAWINETD Christmas Dinner & Awards on December 6th, the Bishop’s Award was presented to Joanna Friday-Bartholomew. She is a member of the Valencia Pentecostal Assembly and has been involved in our District for many years, serving as the Social and Welfare Director. She has been instrumental in our Pastors and Credentialled Workers receiving up-to-date vaccinations and health testing. Mrs. Friday-Bartholomew works as a District Health Visitor with the Eastern Regional Health Authority and teaches Lamaze classes in that region. In 2013 she was also honoured by the Sangre Regional Corporation for longstanding and exemplary service to Sangre Grande and environs. She can be heard on radio with Rev. Cumlin Auguste discussing sociopolitical and health issues. She is particularly passionate about young people and accepts as many invitations as possible to speak at schools or churches, usually on youth reproductive health issues.
